The momma is looking for a good quality scanner that can scan transparent media, such as x-ray film. The momma does scientifical research. In her research she needs to scan x-ray images of protein blots. In order to analyze them with her computer, she needs a good scanner....

Several years ago, the momma was talking to her good friend on the phone while typing away at her computer, when she spilled a coke all over her keyboard! This was back when most keyboards were priced around $75. Her friend said that her husband did that all the time and knew how to fix it.

Last week the momma found an application for desktop blogging. It's called ecto and is sold by illumineX (who purchased the original company, infinite sushi). It is so much easier to manage this blog, create links, etc.
